Energy Solutions Engineer
CurrentDevelops and implements strategic utility scale projects and commercial and residential customer targeted programs focused on leveraging DERs such as solar, battery storage, electric vehicle (EV) charging, and demand response. Completed or active project and program highlights include the following:Comprehensive EV charging support strategy through our PowerUp Commercial EVSE Rebate Program and the Residential EV Off-peak Charging Program.Completed siting analysis, procurement and installation of 18 level 2 EV charging ports at five separate City of Westerville locations: City Hall, Public Library, Community Center, Sports Complex and Police. Includes all make-ready work for future expansion of up to 16 additional charging ports.Utility scale 10 MW/ 30 MWh battery storage project with intent to reduce our capacity (5CP) and transmission (1CP) peak load contributions as well as offer resiliency through micro-grid islanding.Comprehensive solar support strategy includes our net metering and commercial solar incentive programs with over 4.0 MW of installed capacity. Conservation Voltage Reduction (CVR) pilot project at two of our six substations to prove out peak load reduction during coincidental peak events resulting in ~1 MW reduction with intent to roll-out a fully automated CVR program with feedback utilizing our DERMS. Manages all aspects of project development and implementation including independent research, design coordination, cost benefit analysis, budget development and administration, contractor coordination, marketing and communication efforts, and overall performance metrics development and tracking.
