Graphic design, illustration, and observation

Building my design skills, I'm expanding my understanding and facility in areas such as typography, brand system design, web design, and illustration.

Assisted the studio photographer and videographer to document internal corporate events to be shared across Umbra’s international offices. Built prototypes for a promotional video with original vector illustration animations in collaboration with the Visual Content Lead, and assisted the in-house graphic designers to produce internal and external marketing collateral, packaging mockups, and printing, mounting, and cutting large-scale tradeshow graphics.

Building compositions and sequential messaging to advertise products, weekly programming, and workshops through Bond's social media, sketching and building branding and logos for upcoming fitness workshops, and proposing visual concepts for future use in print and online.

Translated content from OAAG's weekly events newsletter to their social media channels via Hootsuite, ensuring that all linked media was functional and messaging was concise and effective. I also initiated an evaluation program that gathered data on audience engagement, which would be included in OAAG's reports to the Ontario Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Sport.

With Baycrest's Centre for Learning, Research and Innovation (CLRI), I initiated internal communications to promote the Centre's programs and upcoming events, including internal blog posts, website content, display banners, and brochures

Facilitated daily communication among Assembly staff, Members of Provincial Parliament, and the public within politically sensitive considerations and protocols and supported various communications initiatives, including rollout of electronic resources.

Worked in a team intensive environment to communicate key messaging and timely solutions in English and French among internal and external stakeholders. Assisted with issues arising from various facets of managing a Returning Office, from referencing the Election Act to following up on poll staff payroll processes.

Reinforced alumni’s connection to the university through transparent communication and persuaded alumni to financially support initiatives specific to certain faculties, such as the Rotman School of Management and the Faculty of Nursing.

Even as a first-time visitor to the Loire region, assisted students with acclimatizing themselves to living in Tours, France and liaised between fellow students living at the Hameau St. Michel residence and its francophone staff.
