The main focus of my role when I joined the company was to implement a process that could be managed in a controlled way to release new services, existing services enhancements and existing services incident fixes to the customer in a continuous efficient timely manner, across a Pan European platform servicing 10 Countries, as opposed to ad-hoc push-pull methodology. This was done using Agile methodology.• Two week sprint patch cycles were set up for each affiliate/customer• Weekly meetings held to agree the content of each sprint• Manage sprint deployments, dependencies and incidents/bug fixes• Ensuring that prior to implementation, effective integration testing, UAT and regression testing have been followed to ensure that all applications changes delivered can co-exist on the desktop/server without causing issues to any business critical or non-critical systems, resulting in potential change failure or change regression.• The necessary controls, processes and planning were in place and adhered to, in order to protect the production infrastructure systems. These processes are in line with our standard SLAs/OLAs and KPIs.Process, Governance & Improvement – 50% of a typical working day is managing key business processes and ensuring that these are accurately governed. Working with both internal and external customers (Demand management, UAT management) to continually analyse and improve existing business processes to meet the customer and product owner’s business critical needsConforming to SOX controls for the release and change control processes to ensure that all proposed releases have gone through due process prior to delivery and confirming that the change could be effectively scheduled in the requested timescales. Continually monitoring and questioning process to ensure that the solution being implemented is the most relevant and beneficial.
