Clinical Mental Health Counseling graduate program

As a behavioral youth counselor, I am part of a team providing mental health services to youth between the ages of 7 and 18. I work with a small group of children on various life skills and training and provide a variety of therapeutic interventions. Additionally, I assist in clinical assessments and documentation, participate in treatment team and consultation meetings, and shadow the Youth Villages counselors.

I am responsible for creating and leading six different exam review sessions for students. Additionally, I hold office hours twice a week to help students with course-related queries, discussion boards, and advice on how to excel in this course. Moreover, I assist with the evaluation of students’ assignments and exams.

I create relevant psychology presentations and present them to Positive Psychology students during lectures. Additionally, I assist in evaluating students' coursework and assignments.

I am responsible for leading study abroad information sessions, helping prospective students find a study abroad program tailored to their personal and professional development goals, and assisting the UF International Center in recruiting students to study abroad programs.

As an intern, I attend weekly meetings to assist in building comprehensive resources and social campaigns for our IvySky app aimed at decreasing the stigma of mental health. I specifically collaborate with the “self-harm team” to create courses and tools designed specifically for those struggling with self-harming in an effort to create a safe and meaningful space for them.

As IvySky's first Head of Ambassador Network, I am responsible for cultivating a collegiate organization that embodies IvySky's mission, values, and passion for reducing the stigma of mental health. This organization will serve as a safe space for students to create meaningful relationships with one another, openly talk about mental health, and learn about the ways they can work alongside IvySky's fight for better access to mental health support. The founder of IvySky and I will oversee the organization, and strive toward expanding its presence to universities all over the country.

I create and present course-related material 3x per week during lectures. Additionally, I hold office hours each week to assist in course-related questions, discussions, and improvement pointers. Furthermore, I manage coursework evaluations and grading for all students.

I manage the schedule and check-in process for new/existing patients and digitalize/file private health information to protect patient data and confidentiality. I serve in a liaison role for new patient history forms between patients and providers and use customer service/interpersonal relationship skills when taking on patient-centered reception tasks.
