Robert Breen is an award-winning digital marketing and communications professional proficient in internal and external communication, social media, digital and social strategy, and data analytics.He has eight years of experience and recently returned to graduate school to finish his MBA to receive a well-rounded business acumen and prepare himself for a new position in management.During his time at Montgomery County, he worked his way up from a Communications Specialist for the Environmental Services Department to later serving as Interim Communications Coordinator for that department before being promoted to Marketing Coordinator for the Administrative Services Department. Robert developed the social media presence, taking it from a collection of several department-specific accounts and refining it into a robust company-wide presence. In addition, he developed the analytics reporting, SOPs and best practices for the accounts as well as educated staff at all levels about social media. Robert also project managed the Environmental Services Department’s inaugural Annual Report, led the creation of the organization’s Instagram and NextDoor accounts, and managed the social media accounts through several crises including a significant water outage and an F-4 tornado. In September 2021, he was honored with the Dayton chapter of the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA)'s "Young Professional of the Year" award.In August 2022, he was honored with the National Association of County Information Officers' "Award of Excellence for Best Photography - Superior Award/Best in Class".He possesses a Graduate Certificate in Digital Marketing from Montclair State University and an Undergraduate certificate in Digital Marketing from Sinclair Community College. He is Hootsuite certified, Google Adwords and Analytics certified, and is skilled with the Adobe Suite and Canva. He previously served as Marketing Co-Chair for Reuse Conex, an international Reuse conference, and was a panelist on the topic of social media at the Ohio Conference of Community Development’s 2018 annual meeting.
