Software Engineer
CurrentWorked as a core member in an EdTech startup focusing on the development of software for automating CAD education and marking in schools and universities.• Developed and optimised algorithms for 3D model orientation matching and model similarity comparison now used at world-leading universities such as UCL and Imperial College London.• Designed, planned and carried out work on numerous small projects including the build of a LLM model with a custom knowledge base for use as an AI CAD Assistant tool.• Conducted comprehensive data extraction, transformation, and analysis of 2D engineering drawings and 3D models in the Fusion 360 CAD software, providing insights into student errors to improve Fabrio’s educational content. This led to multiple new university contracts.• Utilized web technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, AWS, React, Flask and REST APIs to build and run Fabrio’s Fusion 360 plugin.• Implemented continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD) and made daily use of Git and GitHub for version control and containerisation using Docker.
