I served as an Advanced Satellite Development Intern working alongside the Electrical Engineering Team. During my internship, I was tasked with many different responsibilities. Primarily, I was in charge of building an ACS external disturbance analysis tool in MATLAB. This tool modeled the satellite’s flight conditions and outputted the satellite’s total torque vector to determine reaction wheel sizing for a future satellite. Additionally, I upgraded the team’s power sim model to include more detailed and precise results for fractional LTAN cases. Finally, I used STK to correlate and validate results from different analyses and programs to ensure accurate results.

During my internship with Lockheed Martin, I assisted in the development of both the ATACMS and GMLRS programs. I was able to accomplish this through several different measures. I designed tooling for the ATACMS program that allowed the nosecone to be removed safely from the body of the missile to assist with rework. Also, I reversed engineered a GMLRS fin pouch to create new and improved engineering drawings. And finally, I updated old GMLRS engineering drawings to keep the program up to date.
