Worked side-by-side with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention's Chief Science Officer (CSO), the Assistant CSO, and the Associate Director of Science (ADS) on a daily basis, engaging in activities related to scientific leadership and management, scientific and policy decisions, and regulatory concerns to create an environment thriving with scientific excellence, innovation, and integrity at CDC.

* Supported the CDC Public Health Ethics Coordinator in developing infrastructure for the CDC’s public health ethics initiative* Coordinated Joint Meetings of the Ethics Subcommittee of the Advisory Committee to the Director, CDC and the Public Health Ethics Committee* Served as a member of various workgroups tasked with developing recommendations on public health ethical dilemmas, including public health ethical dilemmas in emergency preparedness and response and dilemmas in public health genomics

I assisted with general duties, such as supporting the food bank and emergency services departments of the Monroe County United Ministries. Specialized projects included updating the Human Resources systems and procedures of a nonprofit that serves as a food bank, and provider of emergency services and daycare services.

I designed curriculum and instructed high school students in Junior Mathematics. I coached the Bunn High Wildcats male and female soccer teams, as well as offered faculty advise for student groups and mentoring for students on college applications practices and procedures.

Tutored 20 students to improve their reading skills, with over 900 hours of service. Given my Spanish fluency, I acted as liaison between school leadership and non-English speaking parents, as well as provided mentoring for Hispanic students that were in ESL classes.
