I began my career as a commercial photographer working for several commercial photography companies both in freelance and full time positions. I landed a job with Braun Photography, a division of Carey Color Inc. as the lead photographer on 2nd shift. After 3 years at this position I decided to shift my career to software development when Carey Color created a new software development department. In this department I helped develop B2B websites to handle job information, e-commerce websites, mixed media CD-ROM projects and database solutions.After being promoted to Director of Software Development for Carey Color I focused the department on creating and integrating solutions for Carey Color instead of trying to sell a product to customers.Being in a small company IT department means you get to learn and implement all aspects. networking, infrastructure and programming in my case.A perfect tie in to the DevOps world where you need to be that jack of all trades. Automation and creating creative solutions is my passion. What software and hardware i use to accomplish those goals i quickly adapt too and apply.
