Hi! I'm Rami, and I am a Computer Science and Game Design & Development Double Major at Purdue University. I have learned so much already in my first two years, and I can't wait to dive deeper as I learn more about graphics programming and practical game development. These two fields are both very important to me, and my career goals lie in their respective industries. In terms of my work experience, I interned as a software developer and data analyst at DCS Tech Inc. during the summers of 2019-2022, which was an awesome experience during which I learned how to collaborate with a team of engineers to create software that were used to analyze and visualize data. I also coached a rock climbing team at Hoosier Heights, where I taught important climbing (and fitness) skills, and coached athletes to compete (and succeed) in the national youth circuit. This, along with being a route setter designated for the team, taught me the importance of being flexible, working around the needs of the athletes, as well as giving me a strong sense of responsibility. I have also worked as a freelance photographer, doing commissions, selling works for charity, and taking portraits.Currently, I work part-time as a supervisor at my university's climbing wall, where I assist patrons at the wall, and cultivate a fun and encouraging community. I also work as a route setter at the wall, which requires a surprising amount of creativity and problem solving. Aside from my studies and work, my free time usually consists of rock climbing. I have been climbing since 2013, both recreationally and competitively, and it is a sport that I am extremely passionate about. I am also the Captain of the Purdue Climbing team! I write up training plans, organize trips to competitions, and coach my peers to succeed in the collegiate climbing circuit.I also love photography, as both a creative outlet, and a means to push myself to see the world around me in new and interesting perspectives.
