Ravi is a development sector professional with 18 years of experience in program design, management, and leadership on poverty alleviation and gender inequality. He is skilled in strategy, communication, partnerships, resource mobilization, and managing donor and government relationships. He has led the UNDP's work on value chain and livelihoods with a focus on gender equality, covering enterprise, market, institutional, policy, and regulatory interventions. He has first hand experience with the challenges of establishing and scaling social enterprises over 8 years in Bihar.During his stint with UNDP, He led projects in numerous Indian states, including Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, Jharkhand, Uttarakhand, Maharashtra, Karnataka, Telangana, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Gujarat, and the North Eastern region. This effort resulted in significant outcomes, such as market linkages of more than 100,000 metric tonnes of agricultural produce worth more than INR 30 crores, impacting over 100,000 farmers and increasing their income by 8-30% between 2017-2019. He has developed critical partnerships with government ( central & state), civil society & private sector and has played key role in mobilizing more than USD 100 Million for different projects & organizations in his career.He was the Co-Founder of Bihar Development Trust (2007), Rural Development & Marketing Private Limited (2009) and EcoKargha Handicrafts Private Limited (2012) and played a pioneering role in creating a vibrant startup ecosystem in Bihar during 2007-2012.He has completed his Post Graduate Diploma in Rural Management from Institute of Rural Management Anand (IRMA), India in 2006 . He is a qualified dental surgeon with Bachelor in Dental Surgery from Manipal University (2003). He has completed online certification in Livelihoods and Economic Recovery in Fragile and Crisis Contexts from Crisis Academy, UNDP in 2024 and Designing a Multidimensional Poverty Index, University of Oxford, UK in 2022.
