Development of a management tool for customer management, for an Internet-based real estate advertising service, utilizing Visual Basic 5/MS Access. Installed and working on laptop computer, available for demonstration. Using WebEx PC, it can also be used “as is” over the Internet, by trusted employees or business partners. 3. Engineering citations database application for my own personal use. Mainly used for storing and retrieving Engineering Index citations. Includes search engine for retrieving records based on relevance to search terms selected by the user. Engineering Index citations are entered and stored in an MS Access database for reference later. A duplicate titles search facility allows detection and elimination of duplicate entries for the same item. Search terms include: Ei controlled terms, Inspec and GEOBASE controlled terms. The user can also invent their own search terms, assign them to individual citations and then use the said terms later to retrieve citations that may be relevant to a particular project. This application has potential for development and use within a corporate intranet, as part of a shared “knowledge community” system. Installed and working on laptop computer, available for demonstration. 4. Variant of item 3 above – for storing and retrieving Clean Tech – related information. This information relates to renewable energy technologies and the performance of buildings from an energy consumption standpoint. Electronic documents of miscellaneous formats (e.g, .pdf files, e-mails, MS Word ) stored in MS Access database. Index terms used in this case are all personal.
