In 2019 werd Eleven55 opgericht door Rick Prins, een ondernemer die eerder Gajes Headwear op de kaart zette. Tijdens zijn reis ontdekte hij een diepere passie: het creëren van private label mode met duurzame stoffen en materialen. Rick voelde dat zijn roeping lag in het maken van kleding die niet alleen mooi was, maar ook een positieve impact op de wereld had. Zo ontstond het idee achter Eleven55, waar hoogwaardige, duurzame en comfortabele (werk)kleding centraal staat.De klok tikt: het is vijf voor twaalf. De urgentie om zorg te dragen voor onze aarde, de natuur en de mensheid is nooit groter geweest. Eleven55 nam deze uitdaging ter harte door voornamelijk te werken met 100% biologisch katoen. Wanneer het gaat om polyester, kiezen ze bewust voor gerecycled materiaal, en dat alles in het kader van de circulaire economie.Biologisch katoen is niet zomaar een stof; het is een natuurlijke, GGO-vrije vezel die veel minder water vereist dan reguliere katoen. Bovendien wordt er bij de productie geen gebruik gemaakt van schadelijke chemicaliën zoals meststoffen of pesticiden. Dit duurzame proces bevordert ook de gewasrotatie, waardoor de bodem gezond en vruchtbaar blijft en de luchtvochtigheid op peil blijft. En het beste? Het afval van het katoenverjongingsproces wordt hergebruikt voor de veevoederindustrie.De materialen die Eleven55 gebruikt, zijn niet alleen duurzaam, maar ook gecertificeerd. Het Global Recycled Standard-label waarborgt dat de materialen gerecycled zijn: polyester uit plastic flessen en katoen uit snijafval.
