Focused on sourcing, conducting due diligence, underwriting, structuring, and executing transactions in growing non-sponsored lower middle market firms. Target businesses will be capital intensive in a constructive way, such as capital spent to increase contracted revenue, add recurring revenue customers, or purchase/originate hard assets or financial assets.Criteria:* Investment enables fundamental growth in the target business with downside protection to Metropolitan. * Enterprise Value: $10 to $100 million* Profitability: no EBIDTA threshold, but must demonstrate a clear, near‐term path to profitability, excess asset value or catalytic event* Size: $10 to $50 million (may be larger)* Structure: Flexible, our investments take the form of debt, but functionally we provide enough capital to minimize the amount of equity a business needs to execute on its growth plan.
