I am currently a 1st year student in osteopathy at the IEOQ, and I also work as a kinesiologist. I have obtained my BSc in Exercise Science, specializing in Kinesiology & Clinical Exercise Physiology in April 2024. As a kinesiologist/specialist for the Cummings Centre, I conduct one-on-one exercise sessions with symptomatic senior participants, primarily with Parkinson’s disease, myasthenia gravis, post-stroke, dementia, and orthopedic limitations. Previously, I was an intern turned Level 1, then Level 2 trainer at the Concordia School of Health (formerly known as the PERFORM Centre). I conducted physical assessments using various exercises protocols, prescribed exercise programs, and conducted bioelectrical impedance analyses (BIA) for both symptomatic and asymptomatic individuals ranging from the ages of 18 to 90 years. Additionally, I was also an intern at the Institut National du Sport (INS) du Québec. I shadowed nearly all of the strength & conditioning coaches of the facility, wherein I learned how to train high performance, Olympic- and Paralympic-level athletes. It is worth noting that I was particularly hands-on with the injured judokas and the para-rugby team during their training sessions, as well as with the healthy judokas during their testing period. Outside of my professional life, I enjoy playing basketball at my local women's league, crocheting and drawing.
