I managed two work packages for the Water Framework Directive (WFD) programme:- Creating the register of Protected Areas- Developing and publishing new web content for the ProjectI deputised at EU level negotiation meetings and led on internal policy liaison for marine and estuarine issues.As an advisor on project communications, I helped facilitate training workshops and an online public consultation.

I represented the Environment Agency as water quality expert for negotiations with P&O over proposals to build a port on the Thames Estuary. The case went to public inquiry and we developed a mitigation programme with the developers to minimise environmental damage.I managed the regional bathing water monitoring programme and assited in water quality planning.
