My name is Reynaldo, and my mission is to improve the quality of life for people by contributing to the future of robotics. I am a researcher in robot-software architecture with a background in mechatronics and electrical engineering. My experience with industrial robots and the automation of production lines has shown me how technology can help construct a better world. I am thrilled to collaborate with teammates to make this a reality. That is my professional goal.From 2011 to 2016, I had the opportunity to work as the coordinator of the Maintenance and Automation Team for automotive assembly lines. During this time, I acquired skills in systems design, PLC and robot programming, machine-user safety, HMI design, and project management. Besides my technical growth, I also developed my leadership and management skills by coordinating a team of 25 technicians with different skill sets.From 2018 to 2019, the Department of Robotics & Mechatronics (RaM) offered me the opportunity to contribute as a researcher in the European project RobMoSys (https://robmosys.eu). My task was to formulate guidelines for designing software components that enable the creation of networked control systems that are guaranteed to be stable.From 2019 to 2023, I did PhD on robot-software architecture. This architecture has been designed to account for the energy-information flow in robots. This work is aimed at helping address system concerns in robotics where energy plays a role, such as stability, autonomy, performance, and safety.
