MAJOR DUTIES Monitors and directs maintenance management and related operations, to include program execution and unscheduled repairs of major end items, assemblies, subassemblies, components and accessory items. Develops, justifies and initiates projects for facilities, justify funding and the acquisition of new and replacement equipment. Determines and/or recommends and justifies manpower needs, funding requirements for facilities, equipment, repair parts and supplies, tools and labor. Serves as technical advisor to higher authority on major maintenance and repair matters or problems. Provides advice and direction in solving complex production or maintenance problems e.g. establishment of procedures or processes to be applied in the maintenance of unusual or sophisticated equipment or weapon systems. Supports all command and locally sponsored initiatives and programs to include safety, environmental, hazardous waste collection/disposal, physical security, radiation protection, and quality control (ISO 9002). Devises systems and procedures, which will better serve the activity. Follows through on recommendations tending to improve production maintenance program, efficiency, cost economy and/or reduction.

Program Manager Selected and appeared before House Appropriations Committee Investigations Team, Briefed Rapid Fielding Initiative and local expenditures in support of deploying units. Prioritized, Directed and managed all aspects of Rapid Fielding Initiative for a major Army Installation. Area Support Group Command Sergeant Major. Planned reception/integration of National Guard Company activated for force protection. Led Community Emergency Operations Center during 9-11, established Emergency Action Center training plan quickly indoctrinated the staff. Planned and organized a brigade level change of command, ASG lead for the United States European Command, change of responsibility ceremony. Engaged problem solver; developed logistics base plan for Pinon Canyon land acquisition team. Analyzed G4 conversion during Title XI draw down; submitted modernization change document to maintain effectiveness. Developed manning document for Modularity Coordination Cell

Responsible for every aspect of the shop operations in support of the Tracked Vehicle, and Artillery Fleets for the 428th BDE, NCOA, 1-30th battalion, and detachment of Marines. Establishes priorities and places emphasis to execute timely repair of equipment ensuring 100% required training is accomplished without delay due to equipment failure. Adjust plans and assignments as necessary to accomplish the work load as effectively and economically as possible. Advise the Division Chief on maintenance budgetary requirements and actively pursue cost saving measures. Develop and maintain strong working relationships with customers and support agencies to ensure satisfactory accomplishment of mission. Manage the acquisition, storage, distribution, utilization and disposal of equipment, maintenance and supplies. Develop performance standards, counsel employees on performance and write formal and informal appraisals.
