Artillery Fleet Maintenance Manager
CurrentMAJOR DUTIES Monitors and directs maintenance management and related operations, to include program execution and unscheduled repairs of major end items, assemblies, subassemblies, components and accessory items. Develops, justifies and initiates projects for facilities, justify funding and the acquisition of new and replacement equipment. Determines and/or recommends and justifies manpower needs, funding requirements for facilities, equipment, repair parts and supplies, tools and labor. Serves as technical advisor to higher authority on major maintenance and repair matters or problems. Provides advice and direction in solving complex production or maintenance problems e.g. establishment of procedures or processes to be applied in the maintenance of unusual or sophisticated equipment or weapon systems. Supports all command and locally sponsored initiatives and programs to include safety, environmental, hazardous waste collection/disposal, physical security, radiation protection, and quality control (ISO 9002). Devises systems and procedures, which will better serve the activity. Follows through on recommendations tending to improve production maintenance program, efficiency, cost economy and/or reduction.
