I have been a professional in the high tech industry since 1980. I started as an engineering technician and progressed to an ASIC design engineer within 5 years of working in the telephony field. In 1988 I started to learn Aegis and UNIX systems administration while designing chips for DSC Communications Corp. I continued to become a UNIX expert at Motorola SPS while working as an Electrical Engineer in the datacom group. In 1993 I changed profession to full time HP-UX administration at AMD in the microprocessor division. I expanded the division from 60 to 1500+ UNIX and Microsoft nodes. I also expanded the admin team from 2 to 12 employees. I performed as “IT everything” for D2audio Corporation from cradle to near sale of the business. I was responsible for all equipment purchase, installation, maintenance and support used to keep the business productive.
