I am an anesthesiologist with a wide scope of clinical practice including regional/pain management, obstetric anesthesia, and a range of specialty anesthetic care across inpatient and outpatient environments. I work in both private practice settings as well as academics at the University of Washington Medical Center. I operate in the sphere of medicine but constantly explore its boundaries. I seek to borrow and learn from other industries, applying these insights to improve the efficiency and delivery of health care.I have a background in bioengineering and health care management. I was an otolaryngology-head and neck surgery resident prior to completing residency in anesthesiology, and served as the Academic Chief Resident in the University of Washington Dept of Anesthesiology. I understand hospital systems from multiple stakeholder perspectives. I have consulted with health care start-ups and have led multiple projects in perioperative management, informatics, and development of Operating Room Business Intelligence Software (ORBIS) at the University of Washington. My projects have received funding from Amazon and the UW CoMotion Tech Transfer Office. https://newsroom.uw.edu/news/how-much-time-surgery-researchers-create-modelFind my satirical children's book on Amazon: The ABCs of Medicine - For Overachieving Babies and Overworked Healthcare professionals. https://www.theabcsofmedicine.com/
