Provide instruction in TCOLE approved continuing education and basic police academy courses. Currently provide instruction in Police Professionalism, Ethics, Arrest Search and Seizure, Penal Code, Code of Criminal Procedure, Texas Alcoholic Beverage Code and Transportation Code..

Provide logistical services for the society of St. Vincent de Paul's House in a Box Program. The Program was established as a mission to respond to disasters and provide household items to victims that are unable to obtain the items because of restricted financial capacity. The items include beds with all linens, dresser, sofa, kitchen table and chairs, all items needed for kitchen, bathroom linens and shower curtains. Other items may be provided in the response as needed.Initially volunteered at multiple warehouse location assisting in dissemination of the House in a Box items to disaster victims.The mission has been active since 2005 with response to 7 natural disasters in 2014 serving thousands of families. The response is almost 100% volunteer based and funded through donations and grants.

Provide command direction to Criminal Investigations Unit. Responsible for investigation of all criminal offenses occurring in the unincorporated areas of Ellis County. Direction of the County Crime Scene Unit.
