I am supporting the worldwide head of Cloud Provider Sales in strategising and planning Cloud Provider partner sales route to market. This includes assessing addressable markets, aligning Cloud Provider product portfolio with sales requirements and reviewing and improving business processes to grow our B$ business significantly over next coming years. Key focus 2021 was definition and launch of Sovereign Cloud initiative at VMworld in 2021. 2022, is all about driving successful services launch and growth of the initiative generating incremental new business for our partners and VMware. It is challenging and rewarding to see the evolution of Sovereign Cloud market fuelled through geo political shifts and government investments (e.g. EU into GAIA-x).

Heading up Worldwide Cloud Practice, we are delivering presales services for service monetization, GTM and architecture design to our most strategic cloud provider partners.

I am leading the team of Cloud Services Architecture team, which is a group of highly skilled cloud architects. Primarily, the team focuses on designing cloud service offerings for most strategic cloud service provider partners to VMware. Secondly, they are focusing on providing skills to the wider vCloud Air Network community. Most of the team members are VCDX, some of them even double VCDX certified.

As a Technical Advisory Director I am program managing focus partners within vCloud Air Network partner program. Responsibilities include developing product and GTM strategies and execute these against plan. Progress and success is closely measured against mutually defined KPIs. Products either are any partner cloud based offerings or selling value-add services on top of vCloud Air.Combining strong technical background with business acumen and managing internal and external virtual teams to work against KPIs achieving market success is fundamental to my motivation. Even though VMware provides one of the best cloud enabling products on the market, it is working with people externally and internally from different cultures that energizes and satisfies me.

As a Consulting Architect I focus on large scale virtualization projects translating business requirements and dependencies into successful virtualization platforms. Also I help customers to adjust their management processes to manage virtual infrastructure according to Best Practices.Since May 2009 I am VCDX certified.

Responsible for database and system management in the following areas: MS SQL Server, DB2, MySQL, all versions of Windows and Linux Server Systems.My position required strong skills in areas asweb hosting, networking, backup and restore, monitoring and security.When facing the customer I advised on best practices in web hosting issues.

In my role as Senior Consultant I was working on several projects designing and developing web based n-tier applications.I reached expert level on MS SQL Server development and management and advanced level in Visual Basic and web scripting languages.

In my role as Consultant I was designing and developing n-tier application. Following through the whole life cycle of applications I was working with Proof of Concepts, early and detailed design questions, development, user acceptance and application roll-out.

I was managing the following areas within my position:- providing expert level support for in-house developed CAD and FEM system- running expert level customized trainings on our in-house developed FEM system- providing support on networking and printing related issues

My responsibilities at the Chair of Hydraulics included researching programming techniques to run calculations on fluids based Navier-Stokes equations using Finite-Element-Method.The application provided a user interface to to define your geometry and boundary conditions and to run calculations on pressure and velocity.The modular design of the application allows to easily plug in other FEM equation solvers and mesh designer.
