In this asylum seeker facility, I was part of a team of international volunteers that created several activities for children aimed at providing some fun and relief for the period they had to stay in the facility before being either accepted into the Netherlands or deported - a process that could take months for the families seeking refuge.

I was a volunteer working 5 evenings per week coordinating recreational activities for blind kids, ages 5 through 18. One of the best experiences of my life.
