Current Focus is on the development and delivery of Infrastructure Transformation program that matures the five IT Infrastructure programs at EDC: Public Cloud, Identity, Voice and Telecom Services, Compute and Storage, and Digital Workplace. This work pulls on the efforts of a core team of Technical Product Owners, developers, BAs, and testers and an ecosystem of vendors (IBM, Microsoft, Herjavec, Sunguard, Avaleris, others) that provide engineering development services. Previous focus was on the launch of the EDC Digital Platform (IaaS build, development, test, and production architecture and establishment of multi-partner development program) and Digital Channel program, support for the EDC Digital Delivery (Digital Agile) process shift, and build out of EDC's growing Hybrid IT service capabilities.

Mr. Reid is currently the Portfolio Delivery Manager for EDC's Business Development, and Financing and Investment portfolios, and the Company Information Management program. Focus is on CRM systems and pipeline management, equity and financing solutions, and company data management. He is also sponsor for EDC's Design, Build, and Integrate Community of Practice, where he supports and guides the continuous improvement of technical IT practices at EDC. He works closely with EDC business teams and business and enterprise architects to define and drive technology change in response to evolving business needs. Mr. Reid also chairs the Business Systems Delivery workforce planning program, where he guides the organization in assessment of ongoing resource needs and associated recruitment actions to address short and longer term needs to support EDC project delivery.

Mr. Reid led a project to determine inefficiencies in the current process for the development of solutions for service requests received by the PWGSC IT Branch Data Center Services (DCS) line of business. The project involved a discovery of the current formal and adhoc processes, determination of process variances, identification of key problems with the current process, options analysis of measures to address key problems, re-design of the reference process, and development of a plan for implementation of the new process.

Mr. Reid managed the transformation of IT infrastructure services provided to the Canada School of Public Service by the Information Technology Branch of PWGSC. Services covered included mid-range server hardware and software management and hosting, email and blackberry messaging services, file, print, and application delivery services, desktop hardware and software configuration and deployment, asset lifecycle management, and network services. Service management processes and tools were also covered by this transformation project. Completely rewritten service level agreements were developed based on a bottom-up cost delivery cost analysis led by the project manager that measured and co-related more than 80 technical product cost elements across all product lines and more than a dozen complex client-specific program cost calculations. The revised costing provided the support for an increased cost recovery of more than 150% over the previous agreed levels.Significant focus on asset management objectives. Client assets (desktop, server, and network) were fully reconciled and transferred to the service provider organization. An asset discovery environment (HP DDMI) was put in place to auto-discover software and hardware assets in future for all end-user assets.Introduction of a new program of service performance reporting that shifted the focus from infrastructure availability reporting to service availability reporting. For the first time, service performance KPIs were made to align with service level commitments in the SLAs for the client, thereby allowing improved service management and improved MAF reporting for the client.

Indian And Northern Affairs Canada

Managing project to enable Government of Canada to collect, track, and report on contract activities conducted by Government of Canada departments and Agencies in service of Comprehensive Land Claims Agreements (CLCAs). Building interface for all government departments to use to upload/enter data, an application for INAC to track and validate the data, facilities to generate quarterly and annual reports, and a public interface for Canadians to review contract amounts by geographic area and/or CLCA. Significant effort is being expended in preparing affected government departments to extract, format, and deliver data. The project is being designed using RUP methodology and is being implemented on a .NET framework.

Managed first concept phase of the Call to Cash Process Re-engineering Project. Led cross-sector team in the development of improved processes. Project produced process descriptions, schematics, and working automation prototype.Co-managed evaluation of alternative CRM framework for revenue forecasting services.Led team in development of a strategic investment proposal to re-engineer opportunity management and business intake processes and tools.Developed revised TOR and COO for governance bodies related to ITS shared service business intake.

Managed large-scale business transformation projects with objective of implementing IT transition and transformation objectives mandated by the Treasury Board of Canada. As part of Wave 1 transition leadership sector, led two projects: the CSPS IT Transition Project and PWGSC IT Infrastructure Transition and Transformation Project.

Managed national server relocation project where cross-Canada Wide Area Network (WAN) was redesigned and mid-range application servers in 6 major centers relocated.
