I am a delivery manager with over 30 years of experience managing organizational change, business process re-engineering, software and systems development, and information management and development.Through my work in the private sector, as a private consultant working in government, and now at EDC I have developed a deep understanding of results-driven project and program delivery.     Mr. Reid managed the transformation of IT infrastructure services provided to the Canada School of Public Service by the Information Technology Branch of PWGSC. Services covered included mid-range server hardware and software management and hosting, email and blackberry messaging services, file, print, and application delivery services, desktop hardware and software configuration and deployment, asset lifecycle management, and network services. Service management processes and tools were also covered by this transformation project. Completely rewritten service level agreements were developed based on a bottom-up cost delivery cost analysis led by the project manager that measured and co-related more than 80 technical product cost elements across all product lines and more than a dozen complex client-specific program cost calculations. The revised costing provided the support for an increased cost recovery of more than 150% over the previous agreed levels.Significant focus on asset management objectives. Client assets (desktop, server, and network) were fully reconciled and transferred to the service provider organization. An asset discovery environment (HP DDMI) was put in place to auto-discover software and hardware assets in future for all end-user assets.Introduction of a new program of service performance reporting that shifted the focus from infrastructure availability reporting to service availability reporting. For the first time, service performance KPIs were made to align with service level commitments in the SLAs for the client, thereby allowing improved service management and improved MAF reporting for the client.
