Performs aircrew visual inspection; non-scheduled aircraft maintenance; preflight, through-flight, and postflight aircraft inspections away from home station. Performs ground servicing duties while away from home station. Effectively communicates and coordinates maintenance requirements to the maintenance department. Maintains aircraft forms and records during flight and away from home station.Computes and applies aircraft weight, balance, and performance data. Determines engine fuel consumption using airspeed, atmospheric data, charts, computer, or electronic calculator. Operates and monitors engine and aircraft systems controls and indicators. Assists pilot or performs engine starts, and monitors run-up, flight operations, and engine shutdown. Operates engine controls to provide desired efficiency and economy. Controls, monitors, and regulates some or all of the following aircraft systems: hydraulic, fuel, electrical, air conditioning and pressurization, ventilation, auxiliary power, lubrication, communication, navigation, security, and countermeasures. Observes warning indications for system failure. Performs troubleshooting/diagnostics of aircraft systems and propose solutions to in-flight emergencies and abnormal conditions. Maintains working knowledge of normal and emergency procedures. Inspects emergency equipment. Provides feedback to the Chief Pilot.

Perform flight-line and back-shop maintenance of electrical and environmental systems, sub-systems and components to include circuit card repair. Inspect and maintain pressurization/oxygen systems. Troubleshoots /repairs electrical system malfunctions. Communicates and coordinates heavy maintenance requirements with various specialty maintenance personnel.

Responsible for accounting and auditing multi-million dollar annual budget. Advises commander of requirements, and available resources while maintaining integrity of budget program and fiscal responsibility. Oversight of maintenance budget program to include filling contracts for refurbishment of aircraft, support equipment and tools.
