His designs and concepts for pioneering fashion as an art form can be summed up as, 'Glamour saves the world...or almost'. Currently based in Los Angeles, Villacis caters to unique personalities including royalty and Oscar & Grammy winning stars like Johnny Depp, Katy Perry, Carrie Underwood and Penelope Cruz. As a luxury consultant in Europe for over twenty years Villacis is sought after for his design expertise in creating 'style and market evolutions'. Villacis's successes include the launch of Anna Molinari, the re-launch of Missoni and the co-founding of the cult label, Trash-Couture Future-vintage, the L' Oreal trademark ' Believe in Beauty' , the Lancôme campaign " the poetry of science' and the art-fashion collective, United Aliens. While at the prestigious Pine Crest Prep school, Roberto won a national talent competition to study at the Pratt Art Institute in NY. Finally graduating at the famed Parisian fashion school of Studio Bercot, Roberto's debut collection was discovered by Vogue and subsequently photographed by Karl Lagerfeld. Recognizing Roberto as a unique talent, Karl allowed for the first time ever access to the worlds of Chanel, Chloe, Fendi and Lagerfeld. This was to be Roberto's finishing school, an influence that was to be instrumental in forging Villacis's aesthetic and avant-garde fashion. Villacis' work have graced the covers of Vogue and the red carpets of Hollywood ever since. Villacis' designs in art, design and fashion has been exhibited in the rarified world of art galleries and museums including; Basel Art Fair and Analix gallery Geneva Switzerland, gallery of Fashion Institute of Technology NYC, Karsten Greve Gallery and Joyce gallery Paris and the Pearl Lam gallery In China. Villacis' designs are part of the permanent collection at the Museum of Decorative Arts- Louvre, Paris.
