I enjoy working for dynamic organizations open to evolving opportunities and ready to move. I have had the privilege to be part of smart dedicated senior leadership teams. My work has been inspired by working to improve the quality of life around the world at organizations like the MIT Media Lab, One Laptop per Child, and the MIT Refugee Action Hub (ReACT). Some of my favorite accomplishments include: • Building and growing a broad international coalition to bring ReACT from concept to impact. Inspired the MIT community brought its best to develop and deliver new blended learning models to dozens of talented refugees, from 12 countries and a majority women, where they live and now work. • Collaborating on new fundraising, advocacy, and partnership campaigns that lead to the launch of One Laptop per Child, and the world-wide distribution of over 2.5 million laptops. Basically moving OLPC from zero to total annual operational budgets exceeding $150 million.• Developing comprehensive partnerships across the Middle-East to deliver thousands of laptops (with support and training) to Palestinian refugee primary school students in Gaza and the West Bank.• Supporting MIT's Institute for Medical Engineering and Science's evolution and growth as a thriving community with 7 new research labs, 100% increase in grants, and many new research partnerships.

Founding Executive Director, Mit Refugee Action Hub (React)Massachusetts Institute Of Technology Sep 2017 - Jul 2019Cambridge, Ma, UsThe ReACT Certificate Programs brings MIT caliber learning opportunities to refugees and other displaced populations where they live. Our students will follow a one year curriculum in computer and data sciences, with an emphasis on innovation and entrepreneurship. The program leverages the edx platform while also providing in-person classroom, lab, and paid mentored internships. We have also built a ReACT track in the JPAL MicroMasters in Data, Economics, and Development Policy. Though these programs and over 2 years we have received 1700 applications from nearly 50 countries. Our 50-plus graduated and enrolled students (over 50% are women) come from a dozen different countries forming a unique and impactful learning community. ReACT has a 95% graduation rate with a growing number of students beginning new full-time work and formal degree programs. The ReACT Hub is an institute-wide initiative aimed at developing a experience and knowledge based community around refugee education. Our objective is to leverage blended learning and development best practices in order to increase educational access and build pathways to new careers. Together we believe we can construct narratives that inform the continuum of education, build capacity, and contribute stability to displaced people and their host communities.
