Rick Harris leads the Day Pitney LLP Technology, Telecommunications and Outsourcing Practice Group. His practice includes structuring, negotiating and documenting the acquisition, disposition and recapitalization of technology-related business enterprises and assisting clients in the implementation of a broad range of strategic outsourcing arrangements. He has advised large financial institutions, including banks and insurance companies, and multinational manufacturing and pharmaceutical companies in connection with their multi-year, multimillion-dollar IT and telecommunications outsourcing and managed services arrangements. In addition, Rick advises leading technology companies in connection with computer and other technology licenses, technology transfer and joint venture agreements, system development agreements and copyright, trademark and trade secret matters. Much of Rick’s technology licensing practice is devoted to the transfer and commercialization of technology from research universities around the United States to private industry.
