When I was young, I was so scared of going to the dentist. I hated all the smells, sounds, and sensations in dentistry. One day, I went to ER at 2:00 AM because I couldn't stand my painful teeth. The next day, I was diagnosed as having to treat all 12 molars. For over six months, I was treated at the dentist with tension and fear. Surprisingly, I am now working as a Registered Dental Hygienist. The most important thing to take care of one's oral hygiene is to get a regular checkup from a dental professional every six months. However, many people are afraid to go to the dentist because of the dental environment or the cost of the dentist. A six-month regular check-up is the smartest way to prevent oral disease and also save money on dental expenses due to disease treatment. My goal as a dental hygienist is for patients to visit the dentist with joy. I think it is my duty to educate the importance of 6 months dental checkup and treat patients with a smile as gentle as possible.
