State X State is a new travel and gift recommendations site that highlights travel and shopping tips for each state, based on the recommendations of designers, curators, chefs, mixologists, and other creative people.

Method is a design and strategic consulting firm providing design, interactive, brand, product & marketing strategy services to a range of industry clients. At Method, my primary responsibility has been to provide strategic and creative leadership to multi-disciplinary design and technology teams. I have responsibility for managing relationships with C-level executives and have had direct oversight for over $2.5 million in client accounts annually, as well as responsibility to support business development and account planning efforts firm-wide.I work with a range of clients, including Comcast, Time Warner Cable, the BBC, EMC, Microsoft, Nokia, Turner, NBC, Function X, Quirky, Sociocast, the College Board, and the Pace Gallery. Projects and technologies include social networking applications, content management systems, video, and custom applications.I am a core member of the New York studio's leadership team, helping to manage growth and build team, culture, and process as the studio grew from 7 to 30.

I have managed the Beta deployments of Visible Path software - understanding our clients' needs and building programs to drive user adoption and satisfaction with our social networking software.I developed our client account management strategy, including best practices for pre-sales consulting, project management, and success metrics. I helped to build a ten person team responsible for managing our initial enterprise customers.I have worked closely with Visible Path’s engineering organization to re-conceptualize the Visible Path platform, enabling innovative analytics of the social network, and more rapid and flexible delivery of new applications.I am personally responsible for delivery of product design (PRDs and UI) specifications, and collaboration with engineering on FRS documents and QA test design. Finally, I work with our market and serivces teams to manage client engagements, deliver product marketing materials, and coordinate usability reviews with end users.Clients of Visible Path included WebEx, Verisign, Hoovers, Morrison Foerster, Ballard Spahr, and Foley & Lardner. Visible Path was sold to Dun & Bradstreet in 2008.

I worked for Silver Oak on a six-month project for the State of Missouri, analyzing government procurement trends and contracts for over 4 million dollars of annual spend. Focusing on technology and office commodities contracts, I helped identify opportunities for savings and engaged in contract re-negotiation resulting in $500K in annual savings. While Silver Oak Solutions was a great company, soon after acquired by a larger consulting firm, the work was not personally satisfying.

My initial work focused on developing consulting best practices to help our clients maximize value from the alpha-version ECOSystem product. I developed pre-sales collateral, project scoping and client account management practices for alpha clients Novartis, Unisys, and Timberland. As a product manager, I translated our initial customer experiences into new product designs and specifications for the ECOSystem environmental data and knowledge management software releases Beta through 2.1. I delivered competitive market analyses of environmental enterprise solutions, created product and UI designs and technical software specification documents, including use case modeling and usability studies, quality assurance programs, and technology-based consulting tools to support our client account managers.

The Sam Park Revue was a comedy troupe based out of Brooklyn, NY. The Ovalshow was its predecessor, started at Stanford University. Mixing humor, absurdity, and melancholy - we did some strange stuff during the millenial haze. Someone once said "What you do isn't comedy. You just make what you want, call it comedy, and people don't know what else to do, so they laugh." He was right.

I worked with Dr. Mathis Wackernagel to develop applications of the Ecological Footprint environmental impact assessment methodology. We created a concise, web-based application of the Ecological Footprint that has found international use as an environmental education resource. Variants of the method we developed, popularly known as Environmental Footprinting or Carbon Footprinting, has been widely used as a teaching tool by companies like BP and the movie "An Inconvenient Truth," as well as by middle schools.
