I am in charge of the platforms and the website of the IndependentMail.I maintain and improve the code of our base systems, using Django, HTML, CSS, Javascript, PHP, MySQL, and occasionally AJAX coding techniques. I do design work for the website, creating images, new layouts, new design mockups, etc. I oversee the operations of the website. Being a newspaper, we have an extensive content management system. I manage the team that polices the newsroom, making sure everyone is posting this properly, etc. I also engage in community management in our UGC elements of the site.

I was on a team to develop a new application for the e-commerce label purchasing, that would provide a customer with a Orbitz-like experience buying labels and stickers from many vendors. I programmed in PHP, MySQL, HTML, CSS, JSON in a LAMP environment. Used AJAX coding techniques. I also did design work and used Photoshop and Illustrator to take mock-ups from a graphic designer and put them on the web.
