Supporting St. Louis site programs working in the Immersive Development group. Focusing on model & data visualization-related activities to help programs break the cost curve for developing and sustaining aircraft. I also am the administrator for the Immersive Development Center, a facility designed to allow engineers to resolve issues quicker using motion capture driven virtual reality technologies.I have successfully deployed tools and processes used by large programs at the St. Louis site that have improved day to day engineering operations. These tools not only improved efficiency but used advanced visualization technologies to provide CAD visualization & metadata to engineering, quality & shop floor users.I have also helped integrate COTS motion capture tools that improve human interaction with parts and assemblies during installation. Using these tools allowed us to perform analysis earlier during conceptual design allowing for potential problems related to human interaction to be found out before parts are manufactured or installed.Another project I've worked on has been to deploy an integrated visualization design review tool linked with an issues tracking database. These tools allowed designers to capture problems as they are found during review sessions and quickly assign responsibility of the issue. This system helped improve visibility during the design process and tracked over 1000 issues during integrated product team reviews.Other responsibilities of mine have included maintaining and running a 3D printer to provide fully textured rapid prototype models to programs. I have experienced using the 3D Systems / Z Corporation 650 and the Makerbox 2X 3D printers.
