With the success of supporting physicians through this change I spearheaded the research and development of a new tool for regulatory quality assurance. My portfolio was further expanded to lead the operations of two regulatory inspection programs that assure patient safety in community-based clinics in Ontario.

Highlights: • Established Canada’s first ever National Prostate Cancer Forum through engagement with multiple stakeholders. Forum delivered a Canada-wide strategic direction for prostate cancer research. • Developed and piloted provincial regulatory standards for the oversight of community facilities using anesthesia, resulting in enhanced patient safety in hundreds of facilities. • Researched and designed the One-on-One Mentoring Program which aimed to increase self-esteem and self-confidence of children aged 8 to 11 at risk for drug use. The program was adopted by the City of Toronto.
