I love helping people work together to create good things. People have the ability to empower each other, to multiply each other’s efforts. When you bring together a diverse group of people, and cultivate leaders who work for the team, not the other way around, the results are flourishing resilient teams. I’ve spent over 35 years helping design and commercialize digital products and related services. I’m a curious person who never wants to stop learning. This has led to an eclectic career, first as a school teacher, and then a series of roles including technical writing, design, product management, digital solution architect, marketing, sales, business development, mergers and acquisitions, finance and P&L management. I then started a business consulting firm in 2004, and then The Understanding Group (TUG) in 2011. All of this has also allowed me to learn about a wide variety of cultures across the US, Europe and Asia, and industries including software, information services, healthcare, life science and biotech, energy, automotive, banking, insurance, non-profit and education.
Listed skills include Strategy, E Commerce, Entrepreneurship, Business Strategy, and 38 others.
