AnalysisLead Analyst, Inventory Optimization Project:First-year benefits of US$3.1 million (reduced dead/slow-moving stock) and US$750,000 (materials requirement planning (MRP)). Excel MRP tool developed for the project then helped achieve ongoing inventory rationalization of approximately $100,000/month. Result achieved by analyzing the US$77 million, 38,000-item materials inventory. Extracted and transformed over 8,000 inventory items for analysis from SAP Materials Management.Yemen Customs Duty and Tax Liability Analysis: Co-led two initiatives to determine potential tax liability for contractor-owned equipment and materials by analyzing the quantity and value of equipment still in-country.Reduced outstanding Customs exemptions from US$76 million to US$15 million, thus reducing potential liability for duty and taxes by over US$12 million. External Relations and Stakeholders:Member of a team that negotiated with the Yemen Customs Authority to re-establish imports after all oil production equipment and materials blocked from duty-free entry into Yemen. Resolution of the issue saved potentially several million dollars worth of duties and other fees; and helped improve relationships with Yemen Customs and with the Oil Ministry.Supervision:Managed a team of eight Yemeni employees in the Logistics Customs group; provided Performance Communication and reviewed Individual Development Plans.
