I started my job career working in the mail room of the New Bern Sun Journal next worked taking my new boss JP Dixon's mother's house apart too save the lumber,then worked in the heating and air conditioning part for him. I learned to make duct work. I left there and worked with Mr. Jimmy build house foundations and floors to put up pre-fab homes and finished them installing cabinets and trim etc. Next I went into US Air Force where I became a Crew Chief and flight mechanic on C-130 aircraft went to Vietnam. Next got a job with Morgan Engine as a field mechanic on Detroit Diesel engines rebuilding repairs and marine engines and transmission repairs. Next worked at Weyerhauser as a crane operator and worked as a fireman on power plant boiler tender. I worked next for Gregory Poole as a tow motor mechanic serviceman on gas lp and electric models, then transferred to the catipillar equipment field service repairman specialist on pan scrapers and hydraulic excavators darn good at it too. left there and went to work for Dept of Navy Cherry Point MCAS depot overhaul of Navy and Marine Corps aircraft all types fixed wing and rotor wing. I was airframe mechanic/work leader / disassemble - assemble -rig ground test work leader run qualified on fixed and rotor wing. next worked as a Quality inspector and Examiner Evaluator determined depth of repair and finally as a aircraft quality assurance aircraft discrepancy investigator where I investigated who /what/how/ responsible party and corrective action's to prevent reoccurrence of reported discrepancy reported by fleet during their acceptance inspection. Retired got CDL license drove 18 wheeler east/west coast using a refrigerator trailer then I used tanker/hopper bottom and dump trailer. last job I delivered new school Thomas busses all over US and Canada as a team leader at times had to prepare for delivery inspection fill out log books and logistics for fuel and motel services. Retired second time and building tobacco barns and log cabin bird houses.
