About Regan Trexel

I am currently a first-year masters student studying Health and Human Physiology Sub-Track Child Life at the University of Iowa. I graduated with a B.S. in Therapeutic Recreation from the University of Iowa in August of 2023 after completing a 14-week internship at Orchard Place. I work part time as a lead social engagement peer mentor for the UI REACH Program. In this role I work with college age students with intellectual and cognitive disabilities to help them achieve social and independent living goals. Additionally, I work as a PLAYologist at the Iowa Children's Museum. I also provide respite seasonally through Childserve, as well as volunteer in the children's library and on an in-patient unit at the University of Iowa Stead Family Children's Hospital. I have diverse experience in both community and clinical settings. I hope to use my knowledge, skills, and experience to both make a different in client's lives and in the field of therapeutic recreation and child life.
