I have always been passionate about spelling, writing and researching. Over the years, I have mentioned to people I know or even strangers where they need to correct something they wrote. Last year due to financial hardship, I decided to finally create gigs to bring in supplemental income during my leisure time. I am pleased to continue helping others look professional.

At Umoja Events we coordinate and decorate various events like Baby Showers, Weddings, Birthday Parties, Graduations and other Celebrations. Our services are provided to individuals, families, and corporate customers. We also serve and sell popcorn, cotton candy. We host and serve at parties. If you need a DJ, Photo Booth, chairs, tables, high boys and generators they are available for your event. Things we do not have in stock we can rent, or connect you with a business partner. One of our newest additions are Balloon Training Classes. It has been fun and beneficial to attendees. For the most part they conquer a lot of their fears. Schedule Techs/Installers for sites around the country, request IP addresses and host names, request moves of devices, complete administrative tasks, create reports, attend conference calls, create conference calls, order devices, plan precisely when tasks should be completed and carry them out, advise others, complete Change Orders and monitor progresses.

I fixed software issues for Microsoft Office, Internet Explorer and more complex software used by clients. Reached out to support teams for help with solutions when initial attempts to address the software glitch was not solved during a time frame I needed it resolved. I installed new hardware and placed builds on computers before deploying to new hires. I was the team lead for assigning tickets to my colleagues to help the client. Made an effort to provide quality customer service to clients. Team lead in ensuring the Imaging room remained well organized. Suggested ways for improvement in day to day procedures.

Successfully transitioned from Hardware Technician to System Administrator via superb on-the-job training received. I updated user profiles with software. Deleted profiles and sent requests to server administrators to remove or add users to the servers. Completed software installs via OS builds and installs. Repaired SOE software using keyboard shortcuts. Under DSI build resolved issues via a reinstall. Solved software application issues at client's desks and remotely for others. Fixed HP, IBM, Lenovo printers. Replaced defective parts in computers systems and scanners. Helped the SA teams with builds and did training. I was the onsite repair technician solely for 4 locations during those years. The experience has given me confidence and gained a very good reputation for the customer service and solutions I provided.
