Dedicated to Effective Mental Health Treatment • Advocate for Individuals Struggling with Substance Use Disorders• Committed to Nonprofits and VolunteerismIn December 2013, I completed a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Human Services Leadership with dual minors in Spanish and African American Studies from the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh. In May of 2016,I completed my Master of Social Work degree at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.I dedicated my early career to working with victims of domestic violence. I began working in direct client services as an advocate, and then transitioned into the role of Volunteer Coordinator. This role allowed me to combine my dedication for helping victims with my excellent organization skills and my exemplary attention to detail.I had the privilege to intern at the Center for Suicide Awareness in Kaukauna, WI. This opportunity allowed me to improve upon my skills of professional communication, and my grant-writing skills. After graduate school, I began my work as a psychotherapist, serving individuals with co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders. My patients’ resiliency and strengths are evident each and every day, and I am grateful to be able to serve them through individualized treatment plans, and evidence-based interventions. Within my trauma-specialty of treatment, I have been privileged to treat individuals with EMDR, facilitating a unique environment of awareness and growth.
