I have worked on the corporate side of libraries for a vendor, at a special library at a large research university, at a small liberal arts library, and now at OhioLINK which is a state-wide academic library consortium of 121 member libraries. In all of these positions, my love and commitment to providing the best information and metadata for the library users shines through. Whether that is in the form of a MARC cataloging records, a webpage coded in HTML, or revising and streamlining workflows to reduce duplication errors, I take great pride and care no matter what role I am in.I'm extremely passionate about libraries, cataloging, and metadata in particular. I post to my professional blog in my spare time about hot topics in the field and interesting/bizarre LCSH that I encounter on the job.My curiosity and life-long love of learning keep me reading books and blogs, listening to podcasts (TWIT, Lexicon Valley), and learning new technologies and computer programming languages. Right now I'm brushing up on JavaScript and just starting to learn C!Specialties: cataloging, metadata, content development, academic libraries, technical services, HTML and web site development, project management, vendors.
