After graduating from TCU in 2018 with a Bachelor’s in Political Science I began work as a Volunteer Coordinator at the Parker County Center of Hope. During my time at the Center of Hope I acquired communication, leadership, and computer skills. I always wanted to work in higher education and I achieved that goal in 2020 when I was hired as an Academic Advisor for UTA College of Nursing. At UTA I have learned computer programs such as Slate, PureCloud, ImageNow, and Microsoft Office. I also have learned how to work with college students from various backgrounds and have successfully assisted in creating several recruitment campaigns to bring in potential students. My time at TCU provided me with leadership experience as I managed a team of advisors in assisting high school students with their financial aid and college applications. I was also in charge of student events and weekly data reports while managing my own case load of students.
