I am a recent graduate from Colorado State University with a Bachelor of Science in Landscape Architecture. I have taken courses covering topics such as site analysis, landscape design, landscape ecology, site engineering, soil sciences, identifying landscape plants, and much more. At CSU I am involved in multiple on-campus clubs and organizations, including the Student Chapter of the American Society of Landscape Architects, the College of Agriculture Council, along with some just-for-fun clubs like Hip Hop Dance Club and the Visible Voices Panel. Most notably, I am the President of the Student Chapter of the American Society of Landscape Architects and organized and conducted the very first virtual Landscape Architecture Days annual lecture series, which featured 8 well-respected professionals within the Landscape Architecture field.I work seasonally at the Fort Collins Nursery as a Woody Plant Specialist, which has given me a wonderful opportunity to learn even more about trees, shrubs, and vines. Within this position, I help costumers find the right plants that will thrive in their yards and gardens, identify diseased plants and insect infestations, and general plant care such as watering, fertilizing, pruning, and weeding. This position really sparked my passion for horticulture and landscape design and I can't wait to enter the landscape architecture profession with my landscape plant knowledge.I also worked as the Community Desk Manager at CSU's Corbett Hall from August 2019 through May 2021. Corbett Hall is largest dorm on campus with 900 residents every school year. Within my position, I oversaw the front desk of the hall which has a team of 25 desk staff. On the manager side of my position, I am responsible for conducting hiring, training of desk staff, creating schedules, approving time sheets, and addressing performance issues for the desk staff.
