As the sole school social worker I provided crisis intervention and individual counseling for high need students grades 9-12. I also provided intensive case management to and coordinated community resources for the McKinney-Vento and pregnant or parenting populations. Furthermore, I maintained regular communication with parents, teaches and necessary staff about students’ needs and progressAs Student Support Team Co-Chair , I supported successful transitions and monitored progress of students returning from DAEP and JJAEP program. Lastly, I established community partners that supported families as well as donated supplies, held presentations, hosted fields trips for the school.

I led weekly groups utilizing evidence-based strategies to address social and emotional challenges, emotional regulation and positive relationships of third and fifth-grade students. To better service my students, I collaborated with teachers, administrators and parents to identify specific needs and concerns that were used to tailor individual sessions. I communicated with residents about opportunities for financial assistance as well as assisted them in filing for these opportunities. I worked at the Planet SAFE program under SAFE Alliance, an organization that provides free supervised visitations and safe exchange services for families with a protective order in place due to domestic violence, sexual assault, stalking or child abuse. My primary role was to supervise and ensure safe visitations between children and their non-custodial parent. I also collaborated with clients to develop comprehensive safety plans ensuring they felt supported and empowered to deal with a variety of situations

My main responsibilities included the curation of social media posts and press releases to advertise different events and announcements. I also assisted in the development of the company's biggest event, Somms Under Fire, which is a live sommelier competition that has gained international attention. I worked with sponsors as well as updated the company's website and social media platforms to spread awareness of the event. I also created the media content that was used during the actual event.

I was in charge of overseeing the development of a business plan that outlined the monetization of a sustainable garden that would eventually result in $10,000 in net profit for the Boys and Girls Club of Austin club locations. I facilitated research to help us understand the environment and constraints of each specific location as well as the market for the produce that would be grown by the children. In my role of project manager I also attended weekly seminars to further develop my leadership and organizational skills.

I worked to develop marketing tactics to raise awareness for the Spotify Soundtrack Lab event that targeted University of Texas students. These tactics included presenting information about the event at different group meetings around campus and engaging with people walking around high traffic areas to get them excited about the event. On the days of the actual event I engaged with attendees encouraging them to interact with the Spotify technology as well as making them aware of the new opportunities Spotify was unveiling on their streaming platform.

I also created an online store for the organization so they would have the ability to sell t-shirts online to increase their revenue to further support the children. I was also directly involved with biweekly volunteering at the Metz location where I would read with the kids and help them with their homework.

I started a corporation with a fellow high schooler that collaborated with local designers to create capsule collections of clothing. We also worked with manufacturers to produce our original jewelry designs. Our products were sold online and through retail pop-ups and we utilized social media channels to market our brand. A percentage of every sale was directed to Educate 2 Envision (http://www.educate2envision.org/), an organization promoting girls education in Honduras.
