With 17 years and counting in the commercial sign industry and 5 years before that in the Marine Corps I’ve learned the power of teamwork, the absolute necessity for communication, and the value of a well-thought-out plan. A healthy dose of self-confidence and the willingness to lead from the front never hurt either. I’ve always gone to the areas of greatest need or of most significant concern and I've never backed away from taking on the big, nasty, or complicated jobs. As a result, I’ve been exposed to things I otherwise would not have. Because of this, I bring experience in forecasting labor and manufacturing costs and producing and revising high-quality sign drawings for production, installation, or permitting purposes. Having the ability to effectively lead and communicate with cross-functional teams at every level means stakeholders and executives are provided with the data they need to make sound business decisions, the customer has up-to-the-minute progress and status information, and the subcontractors know about product arrival times and completion dates. I call it having the ability to speak fluent exec as well as tech.Through attention to detail, a proactive approach, and complete product and program knowledge., I have completed 98.2% of completed projects under budget and within the deadline. I have also been responsible for exceeding sales goals on every account I’ve managed and in one case that resulted in a 30% net increase in total company revenue.In addition to my professional experience, I am a certified professional leadership coach and credentialed mediator. I dedicate my time in that endeavor to building up and developing new leaders and first-time managers hopefully providing them with the tools and foundations for a successful transition into leadership.I am an active volunteer with Dallas Area Habitat for Humanity and a lifetime member of the National Eagle Scout Association. These experiences have taught me the value of teamwork, perseverance, and community service.Moving ahead, I'd like to continue doing what I do best - delivering results and driving growth.
