Developing people has been my whole career - and life.During my 12 years at KPMG, I witnessed the slow unfolding of a leadership crisis. We'd bring senior leaders into a room and give them coffee and bagels. Show slides and cool videos we'd made. Have them discuss the content amongst themselves in comfortable chairs. And then they'd leave. Nothing would change. I still see this in the clients we work with now - this isn't about any one company. The crisis is this -> We don't prepare our leaders for uncertainty. I know this because I felt it in my own business. At Curious Lion, we see the ability to learn as a superpower.Take this one for example: A large HR-software organization came to us with leaders unable to see reality clearly. It wasn't their fault. They were full-throttle VUCA, and they'd only be taught one way to deal with it - using logic. Logic wasn't cutting it. Denial, blame, and relying too much on what worked in the past cut their output in half. We didn't show them any PPTs. We didn't give them any answers. We showed them a new way to solve problems. After two years of using these tools, they've seen a 150% increase in productivity. That's why I started Curious Lion: to help people and teams realize their full potential. We help our clients do two things:1) solve complex challenges in facilitated workshops2) turn their teams into learning machines with leadership programsWant to talk?Drop me a DM on LinkedIn, or email me at andrew@curiouslionlearning.com ___I also write a weekly email if you want to keep in touch. π curiouslionlearning.com/newsletter π
