Lead Digital DesignerSky Betting & Gaming Jan 2016 - May 2019Leeds, United KingdomReporting to the Head of Creative, as Lead Digital Designer I was responsible for the creation, development and execution of external display, web and social media for all brands at Sky Betting & Gaming. Additionally I was responsible for the customer journey and best practices in all digital channels. I managed a team of Designers, Motion Graphics Designers and Front End Developers. Ideating with Brand Lead Designers. Generating storyboards for campaigns to fit in all media channels and inform the shot lists for all video and photo shoots. Working on some of the biggest brands in the gaming world: Sky Bet, Sky Vegas, Sky Casino, Sky Sports Super 6, Sky Sports Fantasy FootballAchievements• I created a system to populate web banners from a feed of markets from Sky Bet - this has been rolled out to other companies as part of the FlashTalking service.• I refined the Sky Betting and Gaming creative team ways of working. I established an in-house Motion Graphics team and through cost-saving and responsiveness was able to reduce the use of external agencies for fulfilment.• I was instrumental in the Sky Bet targeting strategy for external display channels and ensuring the creative briefs aligned with the marketing targets and strategy. This included the customer journey from creative driver to site and optimisation of the landing pages.• I directed many shoots with known talents such as Jeff Stelling and Andrew Coultard for the Sky Bet Ryder Cup campaign, assets included a golf game I built for the Sky Sports Home Page Takeover.• Brainstorming, Storyboarding and directing the digital shoot for the Sky Sports Super 6 campaign “Win Jeff’s £1 Million” with Jeff Stelling, filmed on location at a stately manor in Canterbury. The campaign pushed record numbers during the opening weekend. -
Senior DesignerSky Betting & Gaming 2011 - Jan 2016Leeds, United KingdomReporting to the Studio Manager as a Senior Designer I was responsible for taking work from an external agency and working closely with a marketing manager, I would create campaign assets. Achievements• I established the studio ways of working; Brand Campaign make-lists linked to photoshop templates with the correct campaign asset sizes. • I established the external display ways of working. I developed banners on the Google DoubleClick DCO system for Brand Campaigns, acquisitions and Affiliates.• I developed the first age-gate YouTube creative alongside the development team at Google Studio in London.• I developed a system using market data from the Sky Bet API for affiliate banners. Sky Bet was first to market with feed driven banners which have now become standard fare.• I created a desktop app called “Banner Builder” to allow the marketers to generate their own banners from a library of backgrounds and creative assets.• Revolutionising the way external display banners are created and speeding up production by centralising the code-base. My method is now used by some of the major brands in the UK gaming industry. -
