The role of the Student Body President is simply to represent the students of Belmont University and to advocate for their needs as efficiently as possible. During my term, there have been several developments that have benefited the students and the university as a whole. 1. I have worked with administrators to facilitate student input into Vision 2020, Belmont's next 5-year plan. This required the organization of 8-10 student groups who participated in a session with administrators to highlight the strengths and weaknesses of Belmont University. Additionally, SGA created a promotional video to raise awareness about Vision 2020 and encourage students to provide their feedback online.2. SGA has reorganized our outreach into the student community to ensure that each student organization has a representative that they can contact with any issues or concerns. This has helped to inform SGA of the issues that students are facing and has catalyzed our Grant Petition process. 3. SGA has investigated the Student Fee and encouraged administrators to better inform the students about what it is used for. This investigation required the creation of an Ad Hoc committee within our organization, an appointment of a chair position of this committee, and frequent communication to ensure deliverables.4. I sat on a search committee for the Associate Provost and Dean of Students position.5. We were able to quadruple our membership in the Fall of 2013.6. My time with Energetics Technology Center consisted of meeting with various professionals at the Entrepreneur Center and with local politicians to discuss the development of Defense Contracting in Nashville, Tennessee. My primary task was to research getting ETC on three GSA Schedules to make contracting with Federal Agencies more efficient and profitable.

I was hired to work for the duration of 'turn' before I went to University. I was responsible for getting crews to job sites, making sure that they could get inside, and that they had all of the equipment they needed to get the job done. I was also responsible for quality control and approved all of the jobs before the crew could move on. I frequently had to communicate in Spanish for this position.
