With over a decade in assisting health and life science companies, Ian provides the guidance necessary for companies to define their roadmap, develop relationships, grow, and realize their impact.Inspired by the power of healthcare at an early age, Ian’s life was saved three times by skilled physicians at a rural hospital. His life-saving experiences informed subsequent study at Brown University and SUNY Oneonta, managing the Cavendish network that funded early-stage health and biotech startups (continuing through the good work of CIF and Growing Impact Ventures), and serving on the philanthropic board of that hospital system that repeatedly saved his life — the Bassett Healthcare Network.The son of a small town, Ian is an advocate for the power of resilient communities. In addition to enabling better access to rural healthcare, he supports local efforts near his hometown of Cooperstown, NY, including serving as Vice Chair of the Catskill Symphony Orchestra, writing for the local Iron String Press newspapers, and supporting agricultural and education initiatives.He holds the S7 and S66 designations and previously worked with firms including ShareNett and MorganStanley.
