Jeannette is an award-winning communications professional who was formerly a reporter at the San Antonio Business Journal. She was previously the head of communications for the San Antonio Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, as well as the Public Information Officer at the City of San Antonio’s Economic Development Department where she helped create a cohesive message regarding San Antonio’s economic development efforts in the areas of domestic and international industry development, international relations, small business development and workforce development.She has also worked at Frost and Sullivan’s Corporate Communication teams serving various industries including Automotive and Transportation; Measurement and Instrumentation; Aerospace and Defense; and Chemical, Materials and Food and at a multicultural, for-cause full-service agency’s public relations department, where I was able to travel across the nation and work on various projects for clients such as American Express OPEN, SafeLink Wireless and Care Improvement Plus.Jeannette is a proud graduate of the University of Texas at Austin, where she received her bachelor’s degree in Public Relations with concentrations in Latino Media Studies and Business Foundations. During her time at the University of Texas, she interned at the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services, the Texas Office of the Attorney General and the Better Business Bureau. She also served as the Director of Communications for the University's Latino Pan-Hellenic Council, as well as co-chaired a national summit that was recognized by UnidosUS (formerly NCLR) as a Líderes Congreso- the Latin@ Leadership Summit in 2008.
