Hired as problem solver and efficiency expert, I was positioned to make an impact. for instance, internally with Production, I increased their shipping relationship and ratios by 11%. Accomplished this by reaching out to the external client, evaluating their processes for predicting their future needs for our products. I was able to translate this info in a way that production could be much more efficient and predictive making it possible to easily meet shipping deadlines which were commonly missed before. The biggest overall company change that I initiated was as a standard of practice to listen to management identify problems, but interview the workers for solutions. They by product became a much more cohesive work environment for everyone.

Starting in the industry I sold investments and insurance like most Financial Planners. But working for commissions clouds the judgement so I transitioned to a fee based planner and soared. I built my business by learning to listen deeply and from that design plans that fit well with the idiosyncrasies of my clients. While I taught many to manage money by stepping away from the emotional aspects, I learned to work with people with whom I share values and an outlook on life. Working with people I like became a key to my success there and in every position since. I became so successful that when ready I sold my business to Nathan Chapman who owned a subsidiary business of T Rowe Price.
